Featured G+’er : Laurie DesAutels
How did you originally get invited to Google+?
I found out about Google+ through Amanda Blain. We met networking through Empire Avenue. She was recently featured as a Woman of G+.
What benefits are you seeing from being in Google+?
There are multiple benefits I have seen so far. I like the fact that you can create private circles and post updates privately to a specific circle if it is industry specific.
Google+ hangouts are a blast! I do see great potential using the hangout feature hosting and recording virtual online meetings.
How does Google+ fit into your life or career?
My career revolves around networking. I was an early adopter of Linked In, Facebook and Twitter. Google+ has the potential to combine all three ideas behind each network plus video chat.
I personally reach out to two new people within my network each week and have a 10-15 minute conversation. My passion is to continue to grow personally and professionally each day. My attitude is to always pay it forward when anyone asks for my assistance. I believe Google+ will definitely expand my network globally.
