How did you originally get invited to Google+?

Several friends invited me, I’m ashamed to say I don’t remember which individual it was who made me finally click to sign into google+

What benefits are you seeing from being in Google+?

I firmly believe in networking, social and business wise, as a mutual rather than purely self-orientated pursuit and some of Google+ features are really unique, in my opinion. The different relationship circles are a stroke of genius and absolutely lacking on any other networking platform that really serve to dilute some aspects of ones personality rather than allowing all of them to be expressed. The benefits then, for me as well s others, are really that eventually it will bring even those people who have as yet avoided social interaction online to feel more comfortable as they can behave more naturally in keeping with the needs of the different relationship circles they balance in their ‘real’ lives.

How does Google+ fit into your life or career?

It fits well because I can differentiate between social and business interaction. As an artist who would be stuck in her little studio and be dependent of following other artists on facebook or get business benefits through forums or twitter, I can already see that with google + I will be able to elegantly streamline my online activity while reaching more people in keeping with my needs.

A particularly interesting story or thoughts you may want to add regarding Google+

It’s very early days for me on google + but the first time I realized how good the image software is I felt jubilant. My mosaic art is displayed beautifully which is of huge benefit for me, and supports my website very nicely. Again it’s the elegance of moving between different tasks on one platform which is what appeals most to me.

Where can I find more information about this fabulous woman?

Originally German living in the UK and moved from the ‘sensible’ 10 year career as technical translator, to a family obligation 10 year career as health practitioner to finally allowing myself to pursue my ‘soul’ career as an artist. Mosaics have somehow pushed themselves into the forefront of medium of choice. Always self-employed, must be free to make my own mistakes and my own successes. Happily married to my soulmate, my grown-up son married in Australia, one stepdaughter and loving the new role as a slighty mad grandma to her baby girl.

Ture, Karen, so so true, and thanks for even bothering to read it all. I am faced with this whole list of names I am now curious about – good reading to come! Now, or rather later on I need to figure out if I can edit all my typos – serves me right for not checking things over properly… can we edit our words of wisdom? But now the studio is calling, so will be back later and read all about you! :-) x
