How did you originally get invited to Google+?
One of my friends (another woman), invited me after she asked if anyone wanted an invite on Google Buzz.
What benefits are you seeing from being in Google+?
I’m really loving it. I see a lot of engaged conversation; I’m talking to a lot of people I wouldn’t normally otherwise, and I’m keeping an online diary for my baby girl.}
How does Google+ fit into your life or career?
I run the site Google+ Insider’s Guide (http://googleplus.wonderhowto.com), and I provide people with as much information as possible about Google+ – who to follow, how-tos, tips and tricks, and updates.
It’s really amazing, and I’ve used Google+ to talk to a lot of different people, and hopefully turn them into friends.
A particularly interesting story or thoughts you may want to add regarding Google+
I really love that Google+ encourages creativity. I see Google+ being used to do things like hold yoga sessions, teach people to cook, create online journals, and in general, have fun in a much more social way than Facebook or MySpace ever did. And that social aspect gets translated into offline “meatspace” connections, such as Trey Ratcliff’s photowalk, or Tom Anderson meeting and bonding with his neighbor!
Where can I find more information about this fabulous woman?
Before I became involved in the Internet industry, I was in healthcare, and boy am I glad I switched careers. It’s a blast doing what I love.
