How did you originally get invited to Google+?

My husband invited me to Google+

What benefits are you seeing from being in Google+?

Google+ came along just as I was developing a dislike for Facebook.com. Although, many businesses have Facebook pages, I was reluctant to create them for my business and for my book because it lacked the polish and brains I have been looking for. Google+ appears to meet this demand.

How does Google+ fit into your life or career?

Were it not for the internet I wouldn’t have a career at the moment. I am an online instructor, a freelance writer, I write a blog, I have an online consulting business, and I just published a book on Amazon.com. Also, I am the proud member of the CR-48 pilot group.

A particularly interesting story or thoughts you may want to add regarding Google+

If Google+ were an academic woman, Facebook would be the bimbo in front of her. (ED. – This IS *BRILLIANT*.)

Where can I find more information about this fabulous woman?

Recently, I have given up my career as a high school English Teacher to raise my infant daughter. Although, I am still an online instructor for the University of Phoenix, I am using my extended maternity leave as my big opportunity to focus on building my writing career from freelance into something more.

I am the author of the book, Pregnancy For The Skeptical Women which is self published thanks to Amazon.com and Kindle.

I maintain a blog, The Skeptical Woman where I grapple with new motherhood, being a step parent, growing up in a blended family, and the overall distaste that my childhood left me.

Finally, I am the founder of Nest Smart Consulting, offering nesting services and new parent support.
